Application

How do I apply my tattoo?

Clean and dry the area where you want the tattoo. Peel the clear protective film from the sheet. Place the tattoo face down on your skin. Press a damp cloth or sponge against the paper backing for 20 to 30 seconds. Slowly and gently peel the paper away. Let the area dry for 10 minutes before touching or stretching it.

Where should I place my tattoo?

Flat, smooth areas of skin give the best results. The inner forearm, upper arm, shoulder, calf, and back are ideal. Avoid areas with thick hair, joints that crease deeply, or skin that stretches frequently (like the inner elbow or wrist crease). For small designs, fingers, behind the ear, and the collarbone work well.

Can I apply the tattoo over sunscreen or lotion?

No. Oils and lotions create a barrier that prevents the adhesive from bonding. Apply sunscreen around the tattoo, not on it. If you need to moisturize the area, do so after the tattoo has set for at least 2 hours, and avoid the tattoo itself.

How long does application take?

Most tattoos apply in under a minute. Large sheets (full-back designs) may take 2 to 3 minutes and are easier with a second person to help position the sheet.

Wear and Durability

How long do the tattoos last?

Our tattoos last 5 to 7 days on most skin types. Mini designs under 2 cm may last 3 to 5 days because they cover less surface area. Metallic foil tattoos typically last 4 to 6 days. Wear time depends on placement, skin type, and activity level. Areas that rub against clothing or are washed frequently will fade faster.

Are the tattoos waterproof?

Yes. Our tattoos are fully waterproof and sweat-resistant. You can shower, swim, and exercise with them. Chlorine and salt water may shorten the wear time slightly, so reapply sunscreen around (not on) the tattoo for beach days.

Will the tattoo smear or transfer onto clothing?

Once the tattoo has set for 10 minutes, it will not smear or transfer. The ink is sealed under a clear top layer that prevents rubbing off. Avoid wearing tight, rough clothing over a fresh tattoo for the first hour.

Can I make my tattoo last longer?

Yes. Apply a thin layer of translucent powder or setting spray over the tattoo after it has set. Avoid exfoliating the area. Pat dry after showering instead of rubbing. Sleep in loose clothing that does not rub against the tattoo. Reapply a clear liquid bandage every other day for extended wear.

Safety

Are the tattoos safe for sensitive skin?

Yes. Our ink and adhesive are cosmetic-grade and FDA-compliant. They are free of heavy metals, lead, and common allergens. However, if you have sensitive skin, we recommend a patch test: apply a small tattoo on the inner wrist and wait 24 hours before applying larger designs.

Are the tattoos safe for children?

Yes, our tattoos are safe for children ages three and up. The Birthday Group Six-Pack is specifically designed for kids parties. Adult supervision is recommended for application.

Are the tattoos vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes. Our ink contains no animal-derived ingredients and is never tested on animals. The adhesive is plant-based. Our packaging materials are also vegan-friendly.

Can I use the tattoos if I am pregnant?

We recommend consulting your doctor before using any cosmetic product during pregnancy. While our ingredients are cosmetic-grade and FDA-compliant, every pregnancy is different. Your doctor can advise whether temporary tattoos are appropriate for you.

Removal

How do I remove the tattoo?

Saturate the tattoo with baby oil, coconut oil, or olive oil. Wait 60 seconds for the oil to break down the adhesive. Gently rub with a cotton pad or tissue until the tattoo lifts off. Wash the area with soap and water. No scrubbing needed.

Can I remove the tattoo immediately?

Yes. Isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) removes the tattoo in seconds. Apply with a cotton pad and wipe. This is the fastest method but may dry the skin, so moisturize afterward.

Will removal irritate my skin?

No. Oil-based removal is gentle and will not irritate the skin. Avoid using rough scrubbing pads or abrasive removers. If you have sensitive skin, follow up with a gentle moisturizer.

How long does shipping take?

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes, free shipping is available on all orders over $40. Orders under $40 pay a flat rate of $4.95.

Can I track my order?

Yes. You will receive a tracking number by email once your order ships. You can also track your order through your account page.

What is your return policy?

Unopened sheets can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. Opened or applied tattoos cannot be returned for hygiene reasons. If your order arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days for a free replacement.

Do you offer custom designs?
